When dogs come in with severe medical or behavioural challenges, a special breed of humans commit to providing palliative care for those who have a terminal illness, or nursing care for those with severe chronic conditions for the rest of the dog’s life.

ACDR takes on all the burden of care and added costs, knowing that it will be difficult to find an adopter able to take it on.

Our Compassionate Care program is a major reason why ACDR needs your donations. Covering the full costs of vet care, special diets / veterinary food, medication, or any possible behavioural training runs into thousands of dollars every year.
